Hello, Philippines!

I mentioned in a previous post that Eidan and I would be travelling to the Philippines this January. I deliberated for so many days whether I would pirchase a seat for him or just lap carry him for the whole flight (20-27 hour flight!). After my initial hesitation, largely due to the expensive ticket prices, I gave in and got him his own ticket. And boy, am I glad I did! Eidan behaved so well on the flight going and returning, but he was so curious about everything and everyone that we spent a lot of the time running up and down the aisle, visiting with the flight crew, making friends with the other passengers, and generally doing everything but sleeping! I'm stilll very thankful though that our flight to and from the Philippines went wiithout a hitch and that he did not seem affected by the change of air pressure, or even get hit with jetlag!

It was great seeing family and friends, and I could see how happy Eidan was to meet his aunt and uncle, his cousins there, and just generally be the center of attention!

Just landed in the Philippines... so tired...

And since we were already there, I took Eidan with me to the Bureau of Immigration and filed for his Dual Citizenship. After 6 hours, my little man officially became a Dual Citizen of the United States and the Philippines!

My Best Friend's Wedding

Eidan and I went to the Philippines for 3 reasons: To see family and friends, to get him baptized, and because I was Matron-of-Honor at my friend's wedding.

Keesh and I have known eachother since 1st Grade. We grew up together and through the years and the distance of living half a world away from each other, our friendship has remained strong. I was so honored to be one of her Matron-of-Honors at her very special day. It was such a beautiful wedding and of course, I got to see and spend time with a lot of my childhood friends as well.

I have always been so grateful that I have these wonderful friends. They have helped mold me into the person I am and their love and support is something that always keeps me strong in times of adversity and doubt.

I love you guys!
