Watching you grow up

My Dearest Eidan,

I feel so bad I have not had the time to write. But at the same time, I recognize the fact that I have been too busy juggling you and being a mom, being the mrs., working, working on the house, and just trying to keep my head above water.

I am truly amazed at the moms/women that seem to do it all so effortlessly, and some of them even have 2 or 3 or more kiddos!

Since it has been quite a LONG time (August 2013), a lot of things have happened. You continue to grow exponentially and you are SUCH a smart little boy. Even your teachers (and doctor) tell me all the time how advanced you are in terms of vocabulary, motor skills, and social skills. In fact, my aunts tell me you are so much like me in that regard because they often hear you talking in the background when I am on the phone with them. They tell me that when I was your age, they dubbed me "Martita radio" because I would keep talking and talking and talking... until they told me they needed to turn me "off". Haha. It warms my heart to see how smart you are and that you have a thirst for knowledge like I do.

Now, on the other end, you are also a very rambunctious, mischievous, little boy (much like your Dad was, I am told). You get in to everything and love to play rough with your Daddy and chase around the puppy. It is cute how you know that you need to be a little bit more gentle with me, and I feel so loved whenever you say "Mama, I will protect you" when your Dad is teasing me. You have such a good heart and you are such an affectionate little boy. Oh, I'm sorry, Big Boy (as you love to remind me).

Every time I look at you, I see bits and pieces of me and your Dad, and it continues to amaze me that we have been blessed with such a miracle. It's true, you know. Even my doctor called you my little miracle baby. Sometimes I get so impatient and short with you, but I want you to know I am always thankful for you and I am always happy that you are here with us.

I cannot wait for what other adventures we will have in store!

I love you my little peanut-butt.

Love, always and forever,
Mom
